Three teenagers who attacked a rival football supporter leaving him with a life-changing brain injury have been given custodial sentences.

Watford fan Nic Cruwys, 44, spent three weeks in a coma after being attacked following a match at Wolves in March 2015, Wolverhampton Crown Court heard.

The supporters were aged 13, 14 and 18 when they stamped on and kicked him.

Wolves said the three, who pleaded guilty, had been banned from Molineux for life along with three others.

Joe Wood, now 15, of Woodstock Road, Wolverhampton, was ordered to be detained for 56 months after admitting wounding Mr Cruwys with intent.

Joseph Lister, of Palmer Close, Wednesfield, Wolverhampton, was given a 30-month sentence after the now 19-year-old admitted wounding.

Connor Pearson, now 16, of Ettingshall Road, Wolverhampton, admitted wounding and was given a one-year detention and training order.

None of those convicted of wounding had attended the match, the court heard.

Those sentences if you can call them that are bloody pathetic....teens or not should be a lot lot lot more.
No need to be soft because they're young as men get 5/8 years for throwing a few chairs and punches with hardly any injuries...dreary me.

Life Bans from the stadium, but according to the reports didn't attend the match when they decided to attack the unfortunate fan, so may not be a hardship

These ***** weren't even "mob" but a bunch of reprobates who picked on normal fans on their way home to the station, utterly sickening people.

And most of them didn't even have a fight but stamped on the bloke whilst he was out cold.
