I was away at the time so missed it sadly, but someone in the office yesterday said the runs England scored off the last 20 overs of the record 50 over score last week would have won something like 90% of all T20 matches

Amazing in that line-up that someone like Joe Root is regarded as the Mr Reliable who holds the whole thing together!

You do start to wonder if there's going to be a shortage of World class bowlers in a few years time. I mean who wants to be a bowler getting SMASHED to all parts of the ground at 10+ runs an over?

It wasn't that long ago we thought the same about England chances of hitting 400 in an ODI............

So Pakistan bat first then no chance of beating the record.

The compare the boundary size between the ground in Sri Lanka and Old Trafford

Pakistan will not be bowling a staple diet of slow spinners that can be hit for 6 time and time again.

Looking forward to this. England are a great batting team to watch, Mills and Wood are very entertaining bowlers.

Always knew Root was fantastic but didn't realise that stat. Only player in the World in the top 5 rankings in all three formats of the game. :clap2:

We are being battered by their batsmen, ruthless pounding against a below par score
