Albion faced Leicester away in 1978-79 Leicester had just spent 7 years in the 1st division and were relegated in 1977-78...we got smashed away 4-1 at Leicester early in the 1978-79 season.

We had just missed out the season before (1977-78) and well could it happen again.

Some of the older NSC hands were even young enough to have been there or to remember it.. :lolol:

Fair play it took Leicester 2 years to finally gain promotion in 1979-80 back to the 1st Division..

We had two good goalkeepers back then..as for today we looked a little off the pace but overall i would still say we will be up there..Newcastle did look very good at times.

At the cost of not developing the ground properly,in turn was not enough seats,hence lost top flight revenue and eventual relegation.....
