I'm just trying to judge how important the league cup is to us.
In 116 years we have never won a knockout trophy.
So should we just treat it as a breeding ground for youngsters.
When I was growing up in the 80's
The draw for the 3rd round round of the FA cup was a really big deal.

It's Reading It won't pull in the punters.

So same mixture again - kids/fringe players/players returning from injury.

Probably better to put a former player such as Zamora on the breeding ground. Now which female should we use to breed footballers? Of course Bobby's wife would understand because it's all for the team he truly loved both on his way up and on his way down. Agree. Good to find out if we've got top players in the making, or we're saddled with failures........come on chaps, with stable team selection we can get our noses in front and make some hay while the sun shines.........unless CH has his blinkers on when it comes to the EFL Cup......
