His current team Salzburg are in Champions League action tonight, so out of the not so interesting list of possibilities on tv i thought i'd give his game a whirl.

Never remember him being so animated when he was with us. Within the first 15 minutes he's been waving his arms about and giving out to one of his players missing an easy chance and also the officials. He's the Spanish Neil Warnock.

He was nothing like that for us - very reserved!

Wow is he managing another country's Celtic again?
Nice bloke? Don't know and nor do 99.99% of people on here. Overrated manager? Definitely. We went from 4th and upward moving to fluking 6th and going backwards and that with a full season of Ulloa. He'd have taken us down.

That team that finished fourth had Wayne Bridge, Vicente when he was fit, a fully focused Tomasz Kusszczak, Andrea Orlandi playing all season, David Lopez at his best and Dean Hammond. Oscar got us to sixth with none of this and the replacements included Keith Andrews, David Rodriguez, Jonathan Obika and Leroy Lita. He also managed it with Jake Forster-Caskey and Rohan Ince in midfield despite the fact we have now all realised they aren't really Championship standard

For me, it was a miracle he got us as high as sixth at all with what he was given

Your post.
Clueless? Definitely
Absolutely bullshit? Seems that way.

Andrea Orlandi also playing in a Champions League play off tonight for Apoel vs FC Copenhagen. Hasn't done a lot so far, but still a good looking lad...

1-1 if anyone is interested, 2-2 on agg

Yep, late deflected leveller for Zagreb. Could be yet more heartbreak for our friend Oscar. The Salzburg opener was a cracker. Had a bit of Michael Owen v Argentina 98 about it. Extra time.

Edit: 3-2 to Zagreb in the first half of extra time. If Salzburg don't manage to turn this around i wonder whether Garcia will walk. Soriano looks rubbish up top for Salzburg.

Vicente must have played about 2 games that previous season.
Hammond was boo ed out (like Barnes) by our uber fans.
Lopez was what 3 months older but suddenly shit?
He had Upon and Ulloa all season.
Bridge was a class apart but that's one player and Ward was hardly an amateur.
His football was stagnant. He's liked on here because he's seen as a nice bloke, bizarre.

Oh behave, the football was hardly exciting under him but he wasn't a failure by any reasonable standard.

Ulloa broke his metatarsal and was out of action for 3 months that season.

Didn't he also get sent off on his return from injury missing a further three games? Or was that at another time in the season? ???
