Royals boss Jaap Stam is looking forward to returning to Madejski Stadium following two away trips in the space of five days, with the Dutchman expecting for a strong performance against in-from Brighton.
“It will be good to be back at Madejski Stadium,” said Stam. “It is always nice to play in your home ground in front of your own magnificent fans. We know they will get right behind us and we appreciate their fantastic support and will need it more than ever tomorrow."
“We’ve got a lot of quality in our team and every game that we playing we will be going for the win, so we’ll see on Saturday what is going to happen.”
Brighton have won three of their opening four games in all competitions, drawing the other away at Derby. Stam admits they will bring a significant threat with them on Saturday, one he hopes the Royals will counter.
“Brighton have done very well and have got off to a very good start. They have a very good team and we said at the beginning in of the season that our start was a difficult one with the teams that we are going to be facing, we've been massively unlucky in how the fixtures have come out but we need to make the best of it."
“We have had two away games now so it is great to be back on Saturday and hopefully we can get a good result as well.”
