What has happened to the world?

Youngsters have never had it so good, and they are MOANING about the access of non stop grumble available on t'internet. I'm sure there are many of us of a certain age who remember how difficult it was to get a bongo mag when you were younger, and even when VHS appeared it was a challenge. There was too much poornography around, such as Razzle, Mayfair or Your Mum, but these days every taste is catered for.

The world has gone SOFT.:flounce:

Agreed when I was a kid we had to search high and low for an old copy of razzle... always seemed to find a copy in building sites. They don't know they are born these days.

I remember as a kid, me and my mates sharing tales of rumoured jazz mags hidden in bushes in the local woods. We'd all jump on our bikes and spend hours trekking across countryside looking for the holy grail. It was like a mucky version of 'stand by me'.

You always used to hope to find a 'Bongo Bush', normally near a vicarage, where the previous owner had thrown out his selection of stick mags in post spendings self loathing.

At school , the lad who's dad owned a newsagent always seemed to have a lot of friends .

I'm pretty sure Viz did a great spoof of the disappearing hedgerow as reason for the extinction of jazz mags...

On a more serious point a friend, who has a teenage son, was discussing the awkwardness of how to explain the whole adult website things to his son who is at that age. One tactic suggested was to equate with how you'd watch an Superhero/Comic Book movie, enjoyable but not real, they are just actors so don't go jumping off buildings thinking you can fly or that radioactivity will inherently give you some sort of power.......

My generation didn't have anything near as graphic or as immediate, videos if you were incredibly lucky, then grumble mags and then anything else (e.g. swimwear catalogue). Again, Viz did a cracking spoof of this...

In tandem with this I worked with teenagers a while back, one of the big problems we had was that certain boys expected some of the more extreme stuff you'd find as the expected norm from any girl they met. The simple fact that if you're exposed to this and don't have a check and balance or a sense of context then it can lead to a level of expectation which can only cause a bad situation.

Right handed mags/vids could be bad for one's health but kleenex are not complaining but next door's budgie certainly is!

Memories! Or Mammories

I found my first Fiesta mag in a gutter. It was soaking wet because of the rain but I dried it off under my bed. Some of the pages had welded themselves together but careful prising apart got to the good stuff :D

Mayfair seemed to be the best and some very good close-ups of girl's naughty bits. I'm sure it cost me a couple of GCSE's and having a jazz mag at 15, sackfuls of glue. I used to rush home from school to relieve myself. Found it on my paperound.
