ELVIS MANU could still have a future at Albion after breaking his duck.
The enigmatic Dutch striker has attracted interest from Turkey and MK Dons, The Argus recently revealed.
No move is imminent and manager Chris Hughton was pleased with Manu's contribution leading the line against Colchester last night, including his first goal for the club since signing from Feyenoord a year ago.
Hughton confirmed to The Argus: "There has been interest but nothing concrete. He's improved in the pre-season period.
"We took him last season literally a few days before the window closed. He's certainly benefitted from having a full pre-season with us and that has showed in games.
"He is working harder and he managed to impact on the game and get himself a goal."
Burnley transfer target Dale Stephens, suspended for last Saturday's draw at Derby, watched the Colchester tie from behind the subs' bench after a knock sustained in training kept him on the sidelines.
Hughton expects him to resume training tomorrow in preparation for Nottingham Forest's Championship visit on Friday night.
Albion are joined in tonight's second round League Cup draw by the 11 Premier League clubs not involved in European competition.
The draw takes place following the first round tie between Luton and Aston Villa.
