I'm going tonight or at least planning to.
I'm usually on the Lewes > Falmer trains so i'm in uncharted territory.
I think my best option tonight is going to be the Park and Ride at Mill Road.
I've never been there before though.
Any thoughts on a good time to get there tonight to avoid disappointment/full up given that the attendance tonight is likely to be c6K or so.

Any other recommendations for those who normally come via Lewes ?
Is the normal bus from Lewes feasible ?

There's no park and ride tonight, so don't do that.

I think the rail replacement buses are actually more regular than the trains so they'll probably be alright tonight given the small crowd. As for Friday...

No replacement buses showing on National Rail, which is what I thought. Seems to be no service, replacement or otherwise, provided by Southern tonight.

As mentioned above, there's no p+r option. The 28 & 29 buses are running normal timetables, but will be busier than normal(which is busy anyway), particularly after game. Scheduled times 9:43, 10:13, 10:43pm are the first few for returning back ..

I can't BELIEVE that you're NOT sitting NEXT to Barber ready to SPRING into ACTION and deal with any CRITICAL posts

You could drive to Lewes, park up in the town centre / railway station, and get a 28 or 29 bus from Lewes Bus Station or on the High Street. There's four an hour, and they take (supposedly) abot 20 mins to get to Falmer. It stops on the A27 outside Falmer Station.

There's one bus at 10.24, and the last bus at 11.42 from the A27 going back to Lewes after the game.

You could advertise on the new Car Sharing To The Amex sub-forum

http://www.northstandchat.com/forumdisplay.php?85-Car-sharing-to-the-Amex

You could even go COMPLETELY head-mental and jump the queue by starting a second thread on that sub-forum rather than gormlessly randomly joining the one single thread on there at the moment :moo:

As said, 28 or 29 bus is good from Lewes. If everyone is doing this you may need to walk back to Lewes though after the game.

I think there is also paid parking at the Amex, but that will no doubt cost you a gold ingot.

Are the 'event' parking signs up in Coldean.
I know, sometimes they don't put them up for the smaller games

My 80 year old Dad took on PB after the fans forum with a long standing issue. Found him to be very charming and helpful. Sorry Ernie.

Parking is £12. If you have four in a car I guess £3 each isn't bad, otherwise it's very expensive.

There is a a bit of parking space near the kiosk at Ashcombe roundabout, as long as you turn off the A27. I would imagine it wouldn't take long to walk to the Amex from there.

About an hour. Three and a bit miles.
