According to wikipedia, the population of Silves, Portugal, was 37,126 (2011). So I'm thinking that unless there's been a bit of a population explosion of ex-pat Brits in the interim, your query may be a bit of a long shot

It's in the algarve so plenty of brits in surrounding area.
There are Brits everywhere around there..........................it's close to Albufeira and Alvor (and has a nice golf course). Hope I can pick up our game somewhere when I'm there in October......
