Does anyone know what the situation is on Friday for trains?
Are all trains cancelled or just a disrupted service?

Currently figuring out how to get home from the airport Friday afternoon.

Thanks in advance.

It may be wise to book National express (coach) home from the airport.

It's annoying that I can't buy advance tickets online as they're typically cheaper.
Paying on the day will likely be 2x price. :tantrum:

London to Brighton timetable here

and Brighton to London here

Trains are still running (although not as many). I went to and from London today and the trains were fine and no more busy than usual.

This evening all Gatwick Express services from Victoria to Brighton (which all stop at Gatwick) were advertised as running on time. I am not sure about later trains, but I got the 1742 from Victoria and it ran fine.

Revsied timetable due to the strike (you have the links above) so fewer (or even fewer) trains than normal so may be busy. Bigger issue will be getting to the Amex from Brighton (and back)

I'm a bit out of the loop to be honest.
Was thinking about getting the 1 from Portslade, then changing for the 25 at Palmeira Square.
Will that do the trick?

Even better is that some no 25s start at Portslade station, I think.

I'm doing the same journey as I'm flying over in the morning for the game. From what I've gathered there's an hourly train at 10 past from gatwick to Brighton. At least from mid morning to mid afternoon.

I have little choice but to see what turns up and get into town when I can. A few hours in town then I'm going to walk to the Amex and get there nice and early for a drink.

If you have your match ticket on you, buy a ticket from Gatwick to Haywards Heath, match ticket covers Haywards Heath to Brighton, on match days.

You can't do that anymore ! It's the ROYAL MAIL's fault.

(You can really)

Martin Perry's open letter made the national news this morning. I know that doesn't help you, just saying like.
