Thought would make a separate thread for those hoping to get to the match.

Is there any way for those of finishing work around 5? All the southern services are still listed on trainline but right in thinking none of them are going?

Was looking at coaches but that all looks it's too tight time wise. This is only getting to Brighton too, letalone the Brighton to Falmer part.....

There are still trains to Brighton, from either Victoria, St.Pancras, or London Bridge. Just a much reduced service, and all are bound to be even busier than usual. Check the Southern website for times. Once you arrive in Brighton walk down Queen's Road to Churchill Square, and catch a 25X bus.

Getting home again is bound to be far more challenging though..

Going to have a go from Blackfriars, assuming I can get out of work on time, which is in itself always an issue. Getting to the ground from the station will then be a challenge in itself. Lack of trains after the game doesn't matter too much on a Friday but now they're saying there aren't going to be any trains from Falmer after the Rotherham game either, due to the emergency timetable. Effectively, it looks like those of us coming from London for every game - and it's quite a few - are going to miss plenty of matches this season.

The club, if the losses are going to add up as they suggest on the official site, are going to have to think even harder about games moving for Sky this season. As things stand, the first game I may get to this season is going to be September 10th - that makes it hardly worth buying a season ticket, if the problems on the trains aren't sorted.
