I'm looking out the window at a sunny garden. The Olympics is about to start. The Tour de France has barely finished. I've yet to go on my summer holiday.

So, I'm asking myself, am I really ready for a new season to start? It feels a bit surreal. To be honest, I'm just not ready for it to start.

Nope, football and The Albion are a long way from my mind.
I hope I get up to speed soon because at the moment I really just can't be bothered.

No. I wish the new season would start at the end of August as it used to. However, when I'm back in my seat, the cobwebs will fall away.

It's not my memory playing tricks with me then.

I guess I'll get on with it. I think I also know it heralds the start of Autumn, Winter and those dark nights. Give me sun.

Last season should have been so sweet yet ended so sourly. Time to get on with erasing it from the memory banks.

I was ready for it to start on the train back from the land of smog.

A season to remember but not one I want to reflect or dwell on for any amount of time, sooner we get back into it the better.

Really looking forward to it as I have no interest in The Olympics and even less in Tour De France. The only thing that has kept me sane is the cricket test matches.

We must have some of the least passionate football fans in the UK!

OF COURSE IM Ready..Derby tomorrow and can't wait! If you're not ready...maybe you're not a true fan?

Or maybe the club and it's endless but ultimately always fruitless pursuit of the Premier League riches has left true fans jaded.
