Really about time for an overhaul of this stupid system. How about stipulating a finite number in each category? So you could only award an MBE, CBE, Knighthood or whatever when such an honour became available due to the previous incumbent dying or being stripped of the honour.

Cameron & Osborne took the piss all the time they were in 10 & 11 and as is now being proved got it totally wrong contrary to the blue rinse brigade on here who should now be eating huge chunks of humble pie, unless of course they are going to blame everything else except the Tories for another impending recession.
Even May could not get him out quick enough and change his policies.
Osborne was the worst chancellor for a long long time so what does he get, rewarded from his Eton chum.

Doesn't this short sentence say it all about folk who are so politically committed, and the damage they do. Prime Ministers leaving office have done this for decades and it has reportedly emerged, that Brown's list was even longer. They all do it! But instead of bemoaning the abuse of the honours system, which would have far more effect, you choose to make a hypocritical point in a futile attempt to points score.

Yet again, you show your true colours, when someone does not agree with you. Had you read what I was writing, you would see that I did not claim that he had resigned - in any case, you are being unnecessarily picky, as the point is that all PMs when they leave office reward those whom they consider to be of use. So instead of hurling unjustified insults, perhaps you might just once in a while show rather more maturity instead of just sounding off, trying to score points.
