On another thread there were some posters arguing that our squad is weaker than last season

Here for comparison is the change in our squads via the first team / subs of our first game of the season since 2013/4 v Leeds, Sheff Weds, Forest and the likely first team squad for Derby (16/17).
Getting stronger ? Obviously its not a vg indicator (that would be the line up with the most appearances throughout the season probably). The first line up is always missing any signings, or exits, in August . (Baldock, Zamora, Uwe, Murphy, Teixeira in recent years for us)

is the team /squad stronger is the question ? Are you exaggerating Ulloa's importance ? He scored fewer goals in 13/14 than Hemed did last season.

Agreed on basis of the fit eleven that Oscar put out. I think the squad of 16/17 is stronger though. 13/14 had Painter, Dicker, El Abd, Chicksen for example.

Why have you left out Vicente, Crofts and Lua Lua
Bridcutt, Andrews and Stephen Ward were with us at the start of 2013/2014

No, I don't think it is. We've not signed enough of the type of players we so clearly needed last season. We've retained players who are bringing the overall strength of the squad down. Perhaps we're not so good at recruiting, perhaps we are not offering enough money, or perhaps we aren't as attractive a proposition that many seem to think we are. Maybe more likely a combination of all three, but for sure, the squad is not stronger than last season, yet.

Still think too much emphasis on here is put on the members of the team when the team spirit and attitude is more important.But then I guess we'd have nothing to talk about.

Playing Bruno at centre back (if it happens) means we are weaker. <<<<<----- full stop END of argument.
