ELVIS MANU’S Albion nightmare could be about to end – with a move to Turkey or Buckinghamshire.
Turkish Super League clubs Antalyaspor and Adanaspor are interested in signing the Dutch striker.
They face competition from MK Dons, relegated from the Championship to League One last season.
Ambitious Antalyaspor, managed by Jose Mourinho’s former Chelsea No.2 Jose Morais, signed Samuel Eto’o last season and have been linked with his ex-Barcelona team-mate Ronaldinho.
Adanaspor, just promoted back to the Super League, have several Brazilians in their squad.
Manu has been involved in Albion’s pre-season programme of friendlies.
The enigmatic 22-year-old was a late substitute in Sunday’s 1-0 defeat by Lazio at the Amex but does not feature highly in manager Chris Hughton’s Championship plans.
Hughton has brought Glenn Murray back to the club from Bournemouth on loan to combine and compete with Tomer Hemed and Sam Baldock.
He also remains intent on signing another striker following the departures at the end of last season of Bobby Zamora and James Wilson back to Manchester United, so Manu’s prospects of first team football remain limited.
He has failed to settle since Albion bought him from Feyenoord for around £1.5 million last August and has yet to start a Championship game for the club.
Manu was disciplined and fined during an unsuccessful loan stint with Huddersfield last season after criticising the Seagulls in a Dutch newspaper interview.
A switch to the Turkish top flight or MK Dons, plotting an immediate return to the second tier, offer an escape route from a move which has not worked out.
