Chasing 268 for victory in the first Test, Australia were all out for 161, their innings including a record 154 consecutive deliveries without a run. That's over 25 overs! :lolol:

I think Australia were also the first team to lose a test match after forcing the follow on. Headingley 1981, Botham, Willis and all that.

Yes incredible. Between them Nevill and O'Keefe scored 13 off 213 balls including 2 fours! O'Keefe had one scoring shot (a four) in 98 balls!!! I'd have £5 on me doing better than that, and I was king blocker when I played....(at a very poor level, admittedly)

It's a fantastic effort. I held the club record for the last team I played for - 54 balls without scoring a run - Australia's effort makes me look like Adam Gilchrist in comparison.

I doff my cap

In fact Australia have lost 3 tests when asking the other team to follow on. Twice v England and Once v India

Yeah I remember the India one, which brought comparisons to 1981. Maybe the first time that happened in the modern era.

O'Keefe had torn a hamstring bowling and literally couldn't run......

and yet it was still more exciting than the Albion's transfer window activity.

The lad O'Keefe - he could be the new Yardy. Sign him up for 2017!

England were 500 to 1, to win when Oz started their innings. Marsh & Lillee liked the odds so they both placed bets.
Don't know if they were pissed off when losing their wickets.

Marsh was out spoken about about Chris Cairns during Cairns' recent match fixing trial.
