Some people have meltdown on Twitter over this, especially Knockaert. Even the club on the website said numbers hadn't been confirmed yet !!

In pre-season the club should refuse to put players numbers on the back of shirts until officially released, that way people who can't think for themselves are protected! ACITC?

The players didn't have names on the backs of their shirts in any of the pre-season games.
