Albion’s first home fixture will be against Aston Villa the following Monday, 22nd August, with a venue yet to be confirmed.
The Seagulls conclude their campaign against Norwich City at Carrow Road on Monday 24th April, 2017.
Simon Rusk’s side will compete in a revamped league known as Premier League 2, which replaces the Under-21 Premier League.
*
The age limit for all players taking part has risen from under-21 to under-23, meaning all players born after 1st January 1993 are eligible to take part.
*
The rules for overage players remain the same, where each team can field a goalkeeper over the age limit and up to three overage outfield players in every match.

The Seagulls will be one of 12 teams competing in Premier League 2 Division 2, alongside the likes of Villa, Newcastle United, Stoke City and West Ham United.
*
A further 12 clubs will compete in the top tier of Premier League 2 Division 1, and the bottom two sides at the end of the season will be relegated to Division 2.
*
Albion could win promotion to Division 1 by either winning the league, or through the play-offs, which will be contested by the teams finishing second to fifth in the division.
*
The venues for all of Albion’s home games will be confirmed in due course. Please note that all fixtures times, dates and venues are liable to change. The full fixture list will be published here.
