Does anyone remember 'Greyfriars' in The drive, Hove?

It was an impressive building opposite Cardinal Newman, that was called De La Salle at the time. I've looked at the James Gary photos site and there doesn't appear to be any reference to it. 'Greyfriars' must have been demolished about 1988, to make way for a small upmarket housing development. I can find no photographic evidence that 'Greyfriars' ever existed.

I went to Cottesmore then Cardinal Newman, and certainly remember it. I left there in 1985 and I am sure it was still there then.
