Manchester City are ready to allow highly-rated full-back Ashley Smith-Brown go out on loan this week.

The 20-year-old, who was a target for Barcelona at 16, is wanted by City's Dutch partners NEC Breda but Brighton, Brentford, Wigan and Bolton have also asked about taking the England U20 international on loan.

Interesting. Presumably we would want him as cover. Would City be happy to lend him to a club if he was not playing regularly?

Yes, NAC Breda are 'partners' to City (whatever THAT means) and 4 youngsters reportedly off there. We are one of several EFL (ha!) clubs hoping to hijack the ASB deal.
