Anyone into genealogy ?
I'm trying to find out if my Great Great Grandfather, Great Grandfather or Grandfather became naturalised before 1912. Anyone give me any pointers ?

Tried there. Despite having a very unusual (for Britain at least) name It doesn't return anything.

I'm sure you've tried this but just putting the surname into Google sometimes brings up some results - I found quite a bit by just doing that

"Your Italian ancestor must not have naturalized (become a citizen of another country) before July 1, 1912."

Looks like he never natualised and his children became British by birth and so, jure sanguinis, I am entitled to claim Italian citizenship. Just a post-brexit contingency plan.
