On the 5th of June hills farm lane FC enjoyed a great day defeating henfield FC in a chairty football match and for the Vernon Evershed trophy the match ended in resounding victory of 7-3 to hills farm lane, the game was held to raise money for pancreatic cancer and the chestnut tree house and the amount of money that was raised was £1,417 founder and manager of hill farm lane FC Trevor Evershed 53 and a Brighton fan for 45 years said, It was a great day for me and the whole team to win the trophy back in memory of my dad.
