The Owls are attempting to land playmaker Ryan Gauld - according to the Scottish Sun.

Gauld, dubbed the Scottish Messi, currently plays for Sporting Lisbon but has found his first-team opportunities limited since moving to Portugal from Dundee United.

And Wednesday are said to be keen on landing the 20-year-old on a season-long loan deal. Brighton are also interested.

Well if we are up against Wednesday we have no chance...Who wouldn't want to move to Hillsborough to witness the only light display that was more impressive than a One Direction Concert!

His head must have been turned if he watched it on the box..I was there and seriously thought about snapping up a season ticket and moving up there!

I saw him play for Dundee United a few times as they are my old home team (Along with Stirling Albion) and he looked like an amazing prospect. Would be over the moon if Albion snapped him up on loan.
