I'd prefer France. Their defence is a lot more generous and they'll come out attacking us properly. Ireland would sit in, probably stop us scoring and nick a set piece goal from their single opportunity.

This only shows you how strong our qualifying group was. Is there any other qualifying group with 3 teams in the Last 16 (and possibly 3 teams in the quarter finals)?
Can someone explain to me how Eire benefit from timewasting and dragging this match out.
Yeah, it would be pretty unfair to win our game and then have to play another round of 16 match.
