Steve Parish and David Cameron

Crystal Palace chief Steve Parish has blasted Downing Street and Prime Minister David Cameron on Twitter.
With the EU Referendum looming large on Thursday, Cameron posted a message on the social networking site yesterday suggesting that all 20 of the Premier League sides were in support of staying in the EU.
Cameron said: "Football fans should know: all 20 @premierleague clubs say we're #StrongerIn Europe."

However, the Eagles supremo has hit out at the PM in response, saying that Palace had never been asked for their views.

Parish said: "That's certainly not my personal position and not one ever endorsed by this club."
Parish has also called for Downing Street to delete the post and in response to one fan talking about the situation, Parish went on to say that he believed football clubs should be apolitical, adding: "I'm against using a PL club to support a political view especially when we weren't asked."
You can see the series of tweets from the Eagles chief below.

I wonder if this has anything to do with Jeremy Hosking, the private equity and Crystal Palace FC investor, [who] has given more than £1m to Vote Leave and £480,000 to the Brexit Express, a campaign to distribute posters across London and other major cities?

Just sayin'.

Those clubs don't spend much time in Europe these days.

to be fair, shows poor research, presumably the twitter account manager (lets assume a man that doesnt know "lol", doesnt actually use twitter) read the head line "Premier League supports Remain" and assumed that meant each club and no the league organisation.

Its an outrageous tweet and should be deleted, Parish is spot on

he Premier League supports the UK remaining in the EU, according to executive chairman Richard Scudamore.

He said opposition to the EU would be "incongruous" in the context of the league's commitment to "openness".

Scudamore, who was not speaking on behalf of all 20 clubs in the league, criticised the idea that a break from Brussels should be pursued purely to reclaim British sovereignty.

We were saying that Brexit only need IS and North Korean Leader to complete the box set of loons. How wrong were we?

I wonder if this has anything to do with Jeremy Hosking, the private equity and Crystal Palace FC speculator, [who] has given more than £1m to Vote Leave and £480,000 to the Brexit Express, a campaign to distribute posters across London and other major cities, and who will make a real killing on the £ plunging in value if the vote goes against remaining?

Just sayin'.

Amended for you......
