Sages of NSC,

I am considering making a (reasonably) significant purchase online with a private seller. They are wanting me to use escrow.com. I have never used this service, or even heard of it. I have done the usual preliminary web searches for background on them but wondered if anyone out there was ITK and had a view on whether it was secure etc.

Any advice gratefully received,

Had a little search as well and only thing I can add is:

Very legit website. As Mircea said - looks can be deceiving. Like almost everyone else, I have used the website in the buying and selling of domain names when you don't know the other party well. If you will be transacting on Escrow.com - do make sure and hash it out before, as to who will be paying the escrow fees (a stone in the shoe for many, once they 'assume' the buy would be paying it, or vice versa).

Used on several occasions, secure and good for the purchasing/selling of intangibles.

You'll get a call from the US for confirmation purposes.
