Is it bad for you?

Only I just dipped my way through a whole tub (original flavour)

Felling guilty but it's just chick peas and olive oil izzintit?

I guess it depends on where you live.

The West Bank - probably.
West Sussex - unlikely.

Don't think there is too much olive oil in shop brought hummus. Normally rapeseed oil.

It is the food of God's. I pretty much SCOOP it up. When I feel fancy I decant my hummus on a plate. Create a well in the middle, then I drizzle olive oil in the with a small grind.of salt. Just YES

In a pile of football shirts
Try it with a squeeze of lemon juice over it, and a tiny sprinkle of paprika, North Cyprus style. Alongside pitta bread and cracked green olives with coriander seeds.

Well that's how I'll be enjoying it come Sunday.

This thread perfectly illustrates the difference between ours and every other football club in England.

Hummus is the business. Also go for baba ganoush - using baked aubergines instead of chick peas.

400g canned chickpeas (14 oz.)
3 tbsps tahini
juice of 1 large lemon
4 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2- 1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cumin
2 tbsps water
a pinch of paprika for garnish

... and smash it all in a blender for about a minute.

Job done.

Not sure you even need the water, to be honest.

Hummus, like pesto, is 10x better if you make it yourself. It's really no fuss.

This is one food source I simply do not get.
I'm sure many genuinely find it tasty, but to me it has the consistency of wallpaper paste and tastes like what I imagine the undercarriage of Susan Boyle is like. Urgh!

I suspect that's Lynx shower gel you're thinking of.

We're talking about hummus.
