Brighton fans are being given the chance to buy rare signed match issue Albion shirts and help fund disability football sessions across Sussex.

Albion in the Community (AITC) is one of the largest providers of disability sport opportunities in the area and holds more than 30 regular football sessions. It also runs a host of disability teams who compete at regional and national level, including Brighton & Hove Albion Powerchair FC who came fifth in the country’s top division.

Each year AITC helps hundreds of people of all ages to play football that might otherwise not have the opportunity, providing thousands of hours of expert coaching at venues throughout the county.

Disability football can, however, often be expensive to run so AITC is holding an online auction to help fund the sessions.

Fans can bid on a string of match issued Albion home shirts signed by the individual players. They are the one-off Albion in the Community sponsored shirts used by the Seagulls for their home game with Cardiff City earlier in the season and players whose shirts are up for sale include Bruno, Kazenga Lua Lua, Lewis Dunk, Liam Rosenior, Sam Baldock and Uwe Hunemeier. Each player was given two tops for the match, hence the description as match issue, rather than match worn as AITC can't guarantee these ones were definitely worn during the game.

The online auction runs until 22 June, bids start at just £25, there are no reserves and proceeds will help fund AITC’s award-winning work in the local area.
