Match Day Mascots - Information Please

My grandson Harry is fast approaching his eighth birthday, well the 6th of August to be precise, which will be the first Saturday of the new season by my reckoning. Anyway, my daughter has suggested that Harry's present could include him being a match day mascot. As he's Albion mad I'm sure that he would be made up for this experience.

So any information or advice that you can offer regarding the cost, the experience, and any other relevant points would be much appreciated.

Muchas gracias!

This is easily arranged . Just chuck £250 at the commercial department. You get a full kit and tickets for grown ups as well. £300 for captains escort!

From what I've heard an eight year old will love every minute.

From the adult point of view, a pricey but worth it day out for the little 'un.

Yes I have, thanks. What I'm after is feedback from any fans that have been involved in the match day mascot experience be it good, bad or indifferent.

I arranged a captains mascot for my granddaughter season before last.

Had a fantastic experience and she was really looked after. She plays in goal and got to meet 3 goalies and chat to them!
Got to warm up on the pitch too.
We all had a great time.
Expensive but really worthwhile.

It's a wonderful day for the kids who get to do this - the club really do make a great job of it.

The package looks pricey but if you can legitimately make use of all the extras, you're not paying that much for the experience itself...

3 * WSL seats (c£100) - have friends/relatives use your regular season tickets if you have them.
3 * meal vouchers (c£20)
1 * parking permit (c£15)
1 * kit (c£50) - it will be a new kit for next season so make sure you don't buy it before!

The club will take some amazing photos too.

Just thought I'd post what a fantastic day my 10 year old son had on Saturday. He has been going since he was 5, having watched our League One winning season at the Withdean. 4 weeks ago I got email from the club saying his fan number had been picked out of a hat, and he would be mascot for the day (I thought these were just £250 packages, but no, the club still do prize draws). Prematch warmup, met the players, full kit inc. and he was led out by the immense and engaging Shane Duffy who towered over him like some Greek Colossus. It was a completely memorable day for him. Whether I'd part with £250, that would remain to be seen (which my 6 year old now seems rather keen on me parting with...), but thank you to the club for a great day, and doing the prize draws so lucky young seagulls still get the chance to be mascots.

Know a few people that splashed the cash for it and their kids all seemed to have a great time. Not heard anyone moan about the experience.
