in light of England,Northern Ireland & Wales qualifying for the 2016 European Championships,wouldn't it be nice to this grand old competiton re-introduced

much better than friendlies and security wouldn't be a problem these days

it'll never happen without sky's consent of course,but would you like to see it back?

I'm sure the other home nations would like an annual go at us

Northern Ireland were the last champions in 1984

What for? Being UK champions means what? They stopped playing them because nobody could be arsed to turn up except for the England v Scotland games.

I think if they played the matches today most stadiums would be full for such a competition

the last time it was played in 83-84 alot of league grounds were half empty

FIFA and EUFA would then grab the opportunity to only have one team from the UK in each major competition and use the home countries as the 1 group with the winners going forward, which is what they want but the home FAs have resisted it. So it has got to be NO the 4 or 5 FAs would never agree to it.

last time we beat Arsenal at the Goldstone 12,000 turned up

I think the Amex would have a few more than that today

Why not also bring back:

The Texaco Trophy
The Watneys Cup
Anglo Italian Cup

They are all of the same era and well past their sell by dates.

By all means remember these competitions with fondness but they including the Home International Championship have no place in the modern football world.
