Djokovic against Berdych has just started, a Quarter Final in a Grand Slam tournament. But there's hardly anyone in the stadium, a stadium that doesn't even look that big by the standards of Wimbledon's major courts.

Rows and rows of empty seats. Is there a higher prawn sandwich quotient there than even Wimbledon?

Nope, it's bl**dy cold with high chance of rain in the next 2 hours, that's why it's empty. Capacity on Chatrier is up near 15k, so not at all small.

The weather in Paris has been extreme over the past few days. An elderly woman died in flash floods. The tournament is behind time with matches, so it may be that people have bought tickets but unable to attend.

I'm not sure about half of France but the latest fuel crisis is easing. Seven out of eight refineries are working and distributing now.

If you were French and had a chance to do a Gallic shrug, tug on a Galloise and ditch the tennis in the rain, wouldn't you ?
