Take your kids to the park, the match, museums, whatever. Just keep them out of the pub...

I've got three so am fully qualified to engage in this rant! Many decent Brighton and Hove pubs are now overrun with kids these days, it's a ****ing nuisance imho.

We’re fortunate in this City that we have a variety of places families can visit. Parks, cinemas, theatres, shops, museums, cafes, swimming pools, public transport, probably about 99% of the public realm is available for those with children. So why, with all these riches are some parents not satisfied and decide they need to take their kids to the pub?

Nothing wrong with children in pubs providing they sit still and don't speak until spoken to.

If they start running about and making a noise then the whole family should be thrown out and banned.

And ultimately this is the crux of thread, I wouldn't allow my little f***er to spoil your drinking 'experience'
No I should hope not! Leave them in the car if they can't sit quietly yeah[emoji106]

Only ever got allowed in pubs in the eighties when it was peeing it down and then had to be on my best behaviour. Adults were catered for then (and quite right too). Now it's the other way round.

Give it another ten years and they'll be allowed in bookmakers, casinos and brothels.

There is rarely anywhere these days that an adult can go and be adult.....no kids in pubs unless they are shitty 'ballpond' pubs with two for a tenner everything with chips and nuggets pubs.

Sometimes after the footy I like to meet up with a couple of friends, and they're always in the pub after footy. I like the fact that I can go and meet them, even if I've got one of my kids with me. It's not late, the loud and drunk adults there should be able to cope with the fact a couple of kids might come in.

I got taken to the pub a lot as a child - I found it dull as f*ck.
Children should be seen and not heard.

Do you let your spawn roam freely round the pub shouting and screaming?

About the time Blair though tit cool to ban smoking, I think. Ive got mixed opinions, pubs should develop their policies and rep for letting the little runts in or keeping them out, then choose.

Personally the one thing that will stop me going to a pub is karaoke, beyond that I dont care much.
