toxic club. Feel so sorry for their fans. All sounds a little too familiar.

Got a good friend who we go on holiday with every year, has been a season ticket holder for 19 years until this last season and didn't resign because of the problems and it only got worse. He was gutted at what he saw and ouldnt stand it any more. Wont change until Oyston is out.

Gary Bowyer departs, after one game!

The ever-spiralling circus that is Blackpool FC have parted company with manager Gary Bowyer after just one game of the 2018/19 season.

The Seasiders kicked off their League One campaign with a perfectly adequate goalless draw against newly-promoted Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday, but it wasn’t enough to keep Bowyer in situ.

The club regretfully confirmed the departure in a statement issued via their official website on Monday afternoon, also adding that Terry McPhillips, Bowyer’s assistant, will step into the breach for the time being.

He was lucky to survive until second half - think he should have been sacked at HT. If they allow smartphones soon, managers could be sacked by text when their team concedes a corner.

He wasn't sacked though, apparently. The article quoted in Post #11 goes on to state, "Quite why Bowyer chose this juncture to jump ship remains unclear but let’s face it, he’s almost certainly better off out of it."

Their training ground is basically derelict, and Bowyer has been paying out of his own pocket for the squad to train at a local leisure centre. The war between the fans and the odious Oystons has left the club an absolute shambles.

He should have bought himself and dog and got the team to chase that.

But nothing he didn't know the previous week? Or the week before?

I always find these situations odd. Everyone knows what's going on at that club, who's in charge and how it's affecting the fans (and the players)... all very well publicised. (Why the EFL/FA don't step in and have a word, "fit and proper?", who knows.)

But LB knew exactly what we was signing up to. Can it really be any worse than anyone looking in expects it to be? All he's done is tarnish his own reputation IMHO.

EFL are scared of Oyston’s lawyers, and OO very clever at complying with letter of the rules.

He’s also managed to get financing to pay the court case and will continue to run the club.
