It's grim oop north
..... cant be arsed with anything today. flat as a pancake.

couldn't give a monkey's about the rest of the play offs or the euros or football in general right now.

Having had so much of our recent time spent indulged in exciting football and permutations, this feeling is absolute sh!te!

Yup. Took today off work as a safeguard against massive hangover, but now sat at home, hangover-less, bored and in full on can't be arsed mode.

Me too, got up late, even feeling a bit emotional.
But then this is what being a football fan is all about. I'm just greatfull to be able to go to games last night and experience that atmosphere.
Rather that than my only experience of football being sitting drone like in front of a tellly.

I thought I'd feel worse than I do. Such a great effort last night by team and fans.

I'm looking forward to watching Skalak play for Czechia (or whatever they're calling themselves these days) in the Euros.

Take consolation. You'll all be fine soon. It's not as if we're not used to feeling this way. Most football fans are. If they're not then they can't be 'real fans'.

Checked result in the morning and been pissed off all day.
Then at 4.20pm my youngest wrote off the wife's car, brilliant.

I've found consolation in these lyrics (posted by Bozza last week)

If you've heard all they got to say, you looked but turned away
Just walkaway, walkaway if you've said all you got to say
Now the words just slip away, just walkaway, walkaway, walkaway
That's what they say, what they say, what they say, you gotta walkaway

If you've played all the games they play, you played them yesterday
Just walkaway, walkaway, if you've been where they want to go
Seen all they got to show, just walkaway, walkaway, walkaway
That's what they say, what they say, what they say, you gotta walkaway

Now you must believe me, you never lose your dreams
So now you must believe me, we never lose our dreams

If you've proved all there is to prove, got nothing left to lose
Just walkaway, walkaway, if you've done all there is to do
There ain't nothing left for you, just walkaway, walkaway, walkaway

I'm remembering the great season; knowing this isn't a dark period and looking forward to what our team can do next year.

And I'm still feeling flat. Even slightly sick.

About every half an hour I get hit with a slug of sadness when my mind drifts back to the outcome. In the coming weeks I hope I'm able to focus more on the sensation of being there last night. It was amazing and a beautiful thing to see The Amex rocking with a real sense of purpose, on and off the pitch. So glad I was there. Have already spoken to my daughter this morning and made a pact that we're getting down more next season.
