Before the game we walked around to reception to look at the memorial. A touching message from the club...really proud to see us make an effort to contribute flowers and heartfelt words so soon after the extraordinary verdict.
However, the memorial was not in a good way - bird shit all over the plaque, Liverpool shirts covered in detritus, weeds in the paving. Surely Wednesday could have made an effort to keep up appearances for fans everywhere even if it is just on a match day. I thought that sort of summed up their attitude - millionaire owner who can't be bothered to ensure his club do the right thing. I cant help thinking our millionaire owner, the board and ground staff would not allow that to happen at the Amex.
