When their 'keeper kicked the ball, the Weds attacker was miles offside.

By the time the ball eventually got to him (leading to the goal), this striker had come onside again. Check the replays closely.

Should point out the lino on that side is Darren Cann, who's run the line at the World Cup and the Euros. He is the linesman equivalent of Howard Webb.

Seriously? When Westwood kicked it he was a good ten yards behind the defence.

It's okay. I get it now. Hooper didn't touch it. So it's offside.

Awarding an offside when the player was at least ten yards offside is not great, its basic stuff.
Spotting that no-on had touched it (when several players came very close) is very good. The reason the lino didn't flag was that he was not sure if anyone had got a touch. That was an example of very good teamwork.

I thought he was excellent.
Had we had Andre on Saturday, we might be sitting with our feet up looking forward to Premier League football.

I agree, but beating Derby at the AMEX would have secured it also.

Bugger bugger bugger now have to sweat it out in another do i die match.

He was excellent. So maybe it's not that Premier League refs are crap after all. It's just Pawson and Dean.
