About flipping time.
But should the really be publicising this if they haven't yet decided to bring charges? That can't be the normal way of working.

Nothing that interesting in there really. This sort of press realease I imagine would be to get other potential victims to come forward.

Fair point.
Wasn't aware this sort of thing went on. Well, not if the suspect is still alive, anyway.
Cheers.

To be fair, the South Yorkshire police need something to take our mind off the inference that they are lying *******s who spent many years trying to trash the reputation of the 96 and their families and friends...and football fans in general. And have been found out to be just that!

If you want a case handled properly then what better police force to be in charge than South Yorkshire?

From the BBC website:

"Sir Cliff has been interviewed twice in connection with the allegations and has met officers voluntarily each time. He has never been arrested."

So we can be assured that it's a case of innocence until presumed guilty then.

Or will it be a case of salacious inference by certain sections of the media?

It gives the impression that either the evidence is very flimsy or they are being extra cautious as he is well known, but that hasnt stopped them previously.

Publicising that they are sending the file to CPS, so when CPS turn the file upside down and absolutely no evidence falls out then announce there is no case to answer.... the police will claim they did a great job and any alleged victims were totally credible and any word that came out of their mouths should be believed!!! And it's the CPS that made the decision not to take it to court....so it's nothing to do with us!!!

Hope that's not an MPEG file. Poor *******s don't deserve to have to listen to that.
