In The Times today, they note that Brighton are "the first team to lose only five games in a second-tier season yet fail to gain automatic promotion since 1904-05, when third-placed Manchester United's five defeats came in a season 12 matches shorter than the present 46-game campaign."

Great... makes me feel even better than I did on Saturday afternoon...
