After this rather depressing weekend, I've just watched the tribute to Sir David. What a truly great man, a real National treasure, admired across the whole world.



And, a new series of Life on Earth, to look forward to in the Autumn.

First controller of BBC2 - he commissioned lots of great programmes there. Gave up the desk/corporate job to work on the anthropological and zoological topics he loved and has done more for the promotion of actual green policies (rather than the less sensible political ones the Green Party sometimes come up with) than almost anyone else in the UK over the past 20 years.
