Are many people heading to borough without a ticket?

So me and a mate have decided to make the 650+mile round trip from Eastbourne without a ticket in hope of getting one outside the ground on the day! Is there anyone that knows of someone or is doing the same?

Save your time and money. Anyone with a spare will have sold it to another fan before hand. If we lose, Middlesbrough won't be a fun place to be a BHA fan; if we win it probably won't be advisable to stick around either.

you keep on saying it wont be a good place to be if we win...
was there any trouble after we lost at home to Palace? ( only minor handbags) not everyone goes out looking for trouble nowadays...

How much are you willing to pay? I'm not selling, just interested in what people will pay for this game...

Was considering doing this but on my own. Although an outside chance in picking up a solitary ticket, I would think getting two would be on par with getting hit by lightening.
After serious debate with my partner and a couple of mates, I think the risk of not getting in, and then facing the fact that I'd be pretty much screwed for watching it in any form has reversed my early eagerness to make the journey, instead I'll take the guarantee of the second hand stream and see it locally.
If you do go, best of luck.

Well, I wouldn't want to be watching it in a local pub in Middlesbrough...

Being at the game would be brilliant. Unfortunately, I won't be. So surely, sharing the experience with Albion fans in our own fair city has to be preferable to being on your own up there?

There will be far more Albion fans at the Beam Back than there will be at the Riverside. Second best, maybe, but a good second best.

After we lost to Palace, the police locked all supporters in the stadium bars whilst escorting all Palace fans from the away end to the station for a special train direct to Croydon. That, along with the hundreds of baton wielding police, was probably the reason why there was little trouble after that game.

If I was in the same situation I would normally try this, however the lack of away pubs would put me off on this occasion.

a few seasons ago we beat them up there(boro) 1-0 with poyet, outside the ground and on the trains was unpleasant and intimidating , after we beat port vale in the FA cup some of our teenage fans were punched, im positive and certain it will be lively outside the ground and in town if we beat them

I wonder if how many ticketless Boro fans would turn up in Brighton if fixture was at home ? My guess is over 1000 ! But a weekend in Brighton has to be more appealing than a weekend in Boro !
