Safe standing at Celtic from next season

It's grim oop north
Hell yeah, great news.

we should od this in the North straight away - why does it have to even be safe standing in rows.... why cant we go back to proper terraces? Hillsboro would never happen again due to the way football ground are now, ie - NOT a cage

Only a matter of time before this takes off in the Premier League and Championship

Correct but the length of time will be measured in decades if not longer given that the Football Spectators Act 1989 does not apply to Scotland, hence the different position for Celtic

A return to old style terraces will not happen. You only need a surge someone to fall and others then to fall onto one another and you can easily have serious injuries or a fatality. Which is why many people chose to stand in front of the safety barriers to avoid the crush. In an era of Health and Safety and people wanting to seek compensation for virtually any injury this will not happen.
