A little harsh on KLL - the only reason he seems quiet (as others have already said) is he gets double or triple coverage from defenders, freeing space for other players. And no matter how stupid the tackle was Dunk was worth at least a 6.5.

CH has been awesome over the complete season but some games he gets wrong and today was one of those.

After 20 mins of being bossed they started flooding the midfield and we didn't adjust to it at all. Then a very uncomfortable hour ensued.

Skalak was out of his depth against their quality of player even though he has been good. He needed to come off earlier.

How LuaLua, who has been struggling since injury, was preferred to Murphy who has been consistently good, I don't know.

From TV

Stockdale 6
Bruno 7 Extra point for the fantastic double tackle
Dunk 6 Silly 2nd yellow. When will he ever learn?
Goldson 7
Rosenoir 7
Stephens 6
Kayal 7
Knockaert 8 first half 9 2nd 7
Skalak 6 great crosses but cannot beat his man on left wing. Murphy should have come on
Hemed 6 worked hard as always but didn't really challenge goalkeeper
Baldock 6 worked hard as always but didn't really challenge goalkeeper

Lua Lua 5 Not sure why he came on seems to have to stop and think before moving allowing the defenders to double up on him.
Wilson 7 seems to get goals when starting strikers cannot.

Stockdale - what we expect of him nowadays. 7
Bruno - some lovely skill but lacked wingers to distribute ball to 7
Goldson - today showed that he still has things to learn but that he learns quickly 7
Dunk - excellent and then mind numbingly stupid, again 5
Rosenior as ever went about his business but seemed to be out of a position a bit more often than usual 7
Knockaert - kept quiet in second half. Looked like a definite penalty to me 7
Kayal - is his injury restricting him now? Made some excellent moves but a bit sideways today 6
Stephens - unable to stop Derby dominating midfield. 6
Skalak - an off day 6
Baldock - tireless and caused problems for Derby's defence but tired 7
Hemed - worked hard but nothing really fell for him today 7

KLL - looks like his long injury has taken a lot out of his game. Slowed us down and didn't run at defenders. Sell in the summer 5
Wilson - scored and looked pretty keen 7

A bad but not disastrous day at the office. Gives slight advantage to Boro on Saturday, but hopefully this will turn out to have an effect similar to the Rotherham debacle.

Derby - a very good but very unlikeable team

Referee - poor

Mixed bag, imo. Started well but couldn't make the pressure tell. Didn't make Carson work for anything. Second half we had too many aimless balls.

Stockdale - 6.5 Some wasteful distribution
Bruno - 7
Goldson - 6 Seemed too nervous early on.
Dunk - 5 Not just for two rash, unnecessary yellow card challenges (ioncluding one that was compensating for giving the ball away in the first place) but what was that quick free kick all about? There was nothing on.
Rosenior - 7
Kayal - 6.5
Stephens - 6 Why was he blasting the ball at his teammates putting them under pressure?
Knockaert - 7
Baldock - 6
Hemed - 6
Skalak - 5 Offered nothing.

Wilson Yeah, he scored, but did little else, and why is he always so knackered?!
Lualua Just doesn't seem interested.

Stockdale - 8 did well, unlucky with their goal.
Bruno - 7 decent but caught ball watching for the goal.
Goldson - 6 one of his weaker games since coming into the side. Looked nervy and he was caught in no man's land for their goal, neither closing down Hughes, nor being far enough back to cover the run inside Bruno.
Dunk - 6 unluckily booked for his first yellow although he'd given the ball away, but stupid challenge for his second. Otherwise excellent.
Rosenior - 7 a tough game down his side. Good defensively, not great going forward.
Knockaert - 7 unlucky with the free kick. Looked dangerous without having a cutting edge.
Skalak - 5 a couple of decent corners aside, I thought he was very poor. Needs to bulk up over the summer.
Stephens - 5 overrun in midfield.
Kayal - 7 overrun in midfield, but he did his best to take the game to Derby.
Hemed - 7 I thought his approach play was very good. Didn't really get a sniff of goal and his movement in the box was cumbersome at times.
Baldock - 5 works hard defensively, of that there is no doubt. But his movement was poor in an attacking sense and the ball didn't stick to him enough. Easily marshalled by Derby's centre halves.

KLL - 6 regularly double or triple marked. Tried to make things happen.
Wilson - 7 did well when he came on, the odd ball aside. Played a couple of excellent balls into the box that deserved better movement from his teammates.

The ref - 1 at times it was embarrassing.

Stockdale 7. Great initial save before the goal. Otherwise handled shots and crosses well. However his distribution left something to be desired. Too many balls hoofed upfield to no-one in particular.
Bruno 7. A couple of heart-in-mouth moments, but also some classy stuff.
Goldson 7. Not his best. A couple of wayward passes, and it was his poor clearance that led to the goal (or did it lead to the Dunk 2nd yellow?) ... one or the other.
Dunk 6. Overall a decent enough game, but loses a point for the two yellows.
Rosenior 7. Solid game.
Kayal 7. Also not at his very best, but a decent performance.
Stephens 7. Thought he had an excellent 1st half, but faded a bit in the 2nd.
Knockaert 8. Not his best performance, but nevertheless MOM. Deserved a goal for the wonderful free kick. Always looking to make something happen.
Skalak 5. We can't afford to have a player on the pitch just because he takes good free kicks and corners. His limitations were obvious today. Murphy should have started ... or at least come on for Skalak at half time.
Hemed 7. OK. not his best.
Baldock 7. Ditto.

Subs:
Lua Lua 6. Didn't see enough of the ball. Not brilliant when he did have it.
Wilson 6. Well taken goal, but not much more.

Murphy should start for Skalak on Saturday.

Its All Too Beautiful
Stockdale - 7.5 somegood saves, didn't see him come up for the goal. was surprised to see him there
Bruno - 6.5 - Never gives up, needs to trim the beard
Goldson - 6.5 - looked a little off the pace today
Dunk - 7.00 - the first booking due to havin nowhere to pass the ball, paniced had his pass intercepted, the second because two players prior to him failed to make the challeng. His dismissal was in someway due to the setup and players employed today.
Rosenior - 6.5 - went about his job quietly
Knockaert - 8 - Always looks dangerous on the ball
Kayal - 7.5- being asked to do too much, why was Stephens trying to hold his hand today.
Stephens - 5.5- Doesn't appear to be able to pass the ball forward, made some dreadful errors today
Skalak - 5 - It didn't work for him today, should have been replaced much earlier
Hemed - 7- didn;t really get the chances today
Baldock - 5- Never won a ball, runs into trouble, doesn't control the ball, might as well not have been on the pitch today. Can we afford to start with him at Boro.

LuaLua - 6 - we know what we get with him
Wilson - 8.5 - scored the goal, seemed more robust and mobile, we never seem to play to his strengths

CH - 6 - Got it wrong today, out gunned in midfield from the middle of the first half, Baldock ad Skalak should have stayed in at half time. With Knockheart and Skalak on the wings we were too thinly spread in midfield and Stephens, again, did not pull his weight in winning and distributing the ball. If we are to succeed next week then he must get his tactics spot on otherwise its the play offs. He was slow to respond and failed to see the obvious, We need to beware of teams countering after we fail to convert corners, others have done their homework on us,nearly got caught again today,

Spot on about Stephens, its not just an isolated performance, he' s struggling at this level and relying on Kayal to be not only the creator but also the muscle in midfield.

Stockdale 7 Can only assume kicking up front was on instructions
Bruno 5 Contributed nothing going forward and lost playey when they scored.
Dunk 7 Outstanding apart from 2 yellows
Goldson 7 Good
Rosenior 6 We were at home and should contribute more going forward
Kayal 7 Good Always trying to get forward
March 6 OK but not at best due to Derby good mid field.
Knockhaert 7 Good first half. As our only threat was given more attention by Derby in 2nd half. Great entertainer
Hemed 7 Not a fan but one of his better games
Baldock 6 Fair but why dont him and Hemed show more movement in penalty area. eg Both wait at far post
Skalak 3 Contributed nothing, Please show you have more to your game then able to cross a ball and once in lifetime screamer. Looks lost when any defender near him. He will not play at Middlesborough
Wilson Because he is quick and direct would always play him before Baldock.
Lua Lua Tried to make things happen. Only at his best when opposition chasing game.

Credit to Derby for not allowing our full backs to get in game and with Skalak contribution like playing with one less forward.
