Onside or offside?

Having just seen the analysis of the Middlesbrough disallowed goal, I still can't decide. Ian Holloway has his theory of "lino can't see the blue shirt" debunked almost immediately by Boateng who even wanted a 'brough win.

Pause it on 55 seconds, just as Ayala steps back and takes his shot, eye through the mower cut and he it clearly offside.
I think its a great desicion by the lino

I've given the matter considerable thought, having watched numerous replays from every possible angle, slowed down, speeded up, in infra-red and with 50x magnification.

Having done so, my irrefutable conclusion is: who cares?

He is a good 9 yards or so offside, the angle is misleading. :thumbsup:

While we're at it, Burnley's shot at the Amex was about a foot in FRONT of the line so if we'd defended that last corner, we'd have won the game rightly. :jester:

Let's not forget Jamie Murphy had a perfectly legitimate goal wrongly ruled out for offside in our home defeat against Ipswich ! That point we lost could also make a big difference in the final shake up
