These three teams almost certainly can't make the auto spots but also almost certainly won't fall out of the play off spots either.

They can take the next three games relatively easy and rest players ahead of the playoffs.

On the one hand this is good for us as we play Derby, but on the other if we do end up in the playoffs they will have the advantage of having a more rested team.

Think overall playing a Derby team with nothing to play for in the league is better overall though.

We won't need to worry about play offs this time round

Not sure how Derby will want to play this, I'm sure they'll want to keep the momentum going but could be risky having key players in the team in case of injury. Tough call for them

The top six will be the top six. Two different leagues within the top six. Derby could possibly overhaul Hull, Wednesday will be sixth. The top three scenario I'm not even going to get in to.

Derby have to play us and Wednesday so won't take their foot of the gas, Wednesday's play-off place isn't guaranteed yet as they are still to play Derby and Cardiff. The only team who can afford to take their foot off the gas is Hull, and even then they are still in need of building some momentum for the play-offs.

Derby could well be stuck in 5th place, with absolutely nothing to play for, when we entertain them. Which would be sweet.

IMO the ideal scenario is Hull win their next game and their game in hand while Wednesday either beat Derby or draw. That would leave the play off positions from 6th-4th pretty much certain by the time our game against Derby comes around. Based on Hull getting two wins and Weds-Derby draw the table would be:

Hull 82
Derby 77
Wednesday 71

Hopefully meaning they either A) lose an element of competitive intensity and thus lose form going into the play offs, or B) rest players against us so they are fresher for the play offs. Delete as per whether you're expecting play offs or automatic. Or of course both if you're a proper optimist!
