Oh well it was nice to dream. Lets look forward to the play offs, when we'll probably get him for the home leg and Pawson for the away.

Couldn't make it up. Will no doubt be Pawson for the Boro game unless they dig up Ron Challis.

Hoops will have some fond memories given it was the place his beloved side lifted the trophy last season so might go easy on us.

More important is the ref tomorrow which is Mark Heyword his record is 24 games 81 yellow cards 6 red cards. He was in charge of our game at PNE and booked Kayal plus one of theirs so nothing of great note. Hopefully should be ok.

Our record with Hooper in charge during the Amex era is W4 D3 L4

That is good to hear, thanks. Very balanced.

Until you realise that, in those games he has sent off three Brighton players and no opposition players and given two penalties against us and none the other way.

Over the seasons we have been at the Amex 'Hoops' has sent someone off once every 22.79 games. Narrowing this down to Brighton players changes his ratio to once every 3.67 games.

He cost us a win against us against, of all people, Burnley earlier this year when he decided to take a (very short lived) singular stand against shirt holding at set pieces.
His award to Bournemouth at the Amex was the worst penalty decision I have ever seen given against us. He awarded a penalty against Calderon for making a fair tackle outside of the box.

That penalty was clearly inside the box. That wasn't the issue. The issue was the completely clean tackle by Calderon that resulted in everybody inside the Amex (home fans, away fans, both sets of players and staff) sitting back in their seats and awaiting the inevitable corner.

"HAHAHAHA, NOT SO", cackled Hoops, as he pointed to the spot and nodded to Smug Eddie. "Not so!".

That's right. The outside the box decision was the hand ball near the half way line at Withdean.

Maybe, just maybe he realises that many of his decisions have gone against Brighton and he may like to even things up. A long shot I know but refs do tend to behave in that way bizarrely.
But if he gives more stupid and outrageous decisions against us then he clearly has an agenda and does not want us promoted, if he does God knows what I will do, I am stressed out enough as it is.
He is a loose cannon, so when Chariton demonstrate, anything could happen.
Going to be a very interesting 90 minutes, but we really could do without this sideshow.

You are right Edna. I was mixing it up with the terrible decision given against Dunk at Southampton, where the ref not only got the call wrong and the position wrong, but also sent Taricco off for pointing this out. That one wasn't Hooper.
