Noooooooooo. One of my boyhood heros. Fantastic programme of its time. I was only saying the other day that I wish they did to Blake's Seven what they did to Dr Who and brought it back with all the modern sci fi techniques. Would be a nailed on success I think.

But Blake has gone. Sad times.

Awww that was my favourite programme as a kind (and still love it now). RIP Gareth.

Best proper space sci-fi for me as a kid. Whilst I enjoyed Star Trek and Dr Who, Blakes 7 always seemed grittier.

I loved Blake's 7 and was very jealous of Gareth Thomas when he got to snog Servalan.

Loved Blakes 7, and I wasn't a kid, at the time.

Put me (us - wife too) as adult Blake's 7 fans.

And as for Servalan...... (was that her name?)

(So true it was worth saying twice.......)

Up until a couple of years ago there were twins at my school named Blake and Cally. Younger members of staff were blissfully unaware as to the origin of the names.

Sad news. Great TV show from my youth.

Sad news indeed. Going to have to catch up on a couple of episodes for old times sake. Seem to remember it being shown on a Monday night on BBC1. Long before the days of soaps dominating the screens.
