Hee Hee. They were going on about this survey on the news this morning as if they were bound to find something. Am glad that they have!
I tried to find "Nessie" in the Summer of 1968, I went up there following a lot of publicity at the time about sightings by a bloke called Tim Dinsdale (not a piranha). Never saw a thing, it rained and and I got bitten by the dreaded midges. I also dropped my elder brother's camera (which I had borrowed to get the all-important photographic evidence) in a burn. He was NOT very happy.

jeremy wade did an episode of river monsters about this....i think he concluded that the most likely conclusion was that previous sightings had been of a greenland shark

Apparently they found 100,000 golf balls once during a search for Nessie.
