Agreed. Last season it may have been justified, but this season he's been excellent.

Not worth getting annoyed about tweets into BBC Sussex the texts sent in are so knee jerk they make the comments section on the argus look insightful

been superb on and off the field, twats if they are having a go at him .

Must be something about St Andrews, our keepers always seem to have a mare there!

Last summer I was desperate for us to sign Maenpaa as I had no confidence in Stockdale and wanted a new goalkeeper. Stockdale has risen to the challenge and been superb throughout the season. Everyone makes mistakes so he shouldn't be critisised for the odd error

His tweet sums it up... apologised for his mistake but thanked the team for getting the goals. At the end of the day, yes he made a terrible error, but goals win football matches and that's what we got. These pedants in hiding should forget about his error, move on, and congratulate a hard fought away win, after a hard fought home draw. I voted Stocko as player of the season (arguably there could be many awards for this...) as he has been outstanding.

That's not possible.

Because, of course, all of those people sending messages have never made a mistake... :ffsparr:

There are a LOT of stupid people in the world. Social media has just made them much easier to spot.

He's done very well in that he's probably his worst 90 mins out of the way in a game we've still won.

90 mins? You sure? Or just the one mistake which wouldn't equate to a full game?
