Birmingham City Vs Brighton & Hove Albion

Date: 05/04/2016
Kick Off: 19:45
Venue: St. Andrew's Stadium

OFFICIALS:
ANDREW MADLEY
Thomas Bramall and Marc Wilson
Fourth Official Carl Boyeson

TEAM NEWS:
Birmingham will assess a quartet of players ahead of Tuesday's visit of Brighton.
Jon Toral was forced off in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Charlton with a head injury while Kyle Lafferty is still having treatment for a groin problem suffered on international duty with Northern Ireland.
The Norwich loanee joined Blues last month to get game time ahead of Euro 2016 but is yet to play for Gary Rowett's side.
Jonathan Spector and Nicolai Brock-Madsen were both late withdrawals ahead of the trip to The Valley because of illness and could return.

Brighton forward Sam Baldock is doubtful due to a hamstring injury.
Baldock went off during the first half of the 2-2 draw with Burnley on Saturday and, although the problem is not thought to be serious, the quick turnaround makes him unlikely to figure.
However, right-back Bruno's second-half departure against the Clarets was put down to cramp so he should be available.
Defender Uwe Hunemeier (groin) and midfielder Solly March (knee) are still out.

Good thing is I think they will have to come at us. They are hanging on to the coatails of those in 5th and 6th and really need a win. I think this will help us play to our strength and hit them on the break. Hopefully 3 big points tonight

Who have we got available up front?

Wilson & Hemed
Can Wilson play 90 minutes?

Anyone else?

...don't say Skalak or Murphy.

Why not? They're both good players.

I'd keep Murphy on the wing, and Skalak to put in a stint in the centre as and when required.

Morning all.

Positives: We're coming off the back of an excellent team performance on Saturday. Defence (saturday notwithstanding) has looked very good in general. We have a plethora of wingers to choose from. We've looked solid away recently (for the main part). CH will have immunised the team from the 3-day Barton takeover we've experienced on NSC - the team will be bang up for this. Prospect of Skalak&Hemed consummating their relationship once more.

Negatives: We'll miss Baldock. Sidwell.

Smashing opening post. Nicely done StonehamPark. :clap2:

I now think we'll win quite comfortably - routine 2-0 win, both goals in the first half.

Lets hope we hammer them and shut my Brummie mate up in the process. Blues are a massive club but we have nothing to fear tonight and they will need to come at us as they're desperate for the win which doesn't suit them and should play into our hands. IO know it can be said in any game but this one particularly so, first goal is crucial.

Not too worried about striker shortage as Murphy and Knocky both look like they're gonna score every time they cut in from the wings
If you're not going tonight put your feet up and relax put the transistor radio on and enjoy, we're gonna smash em

We usually put out a more experienced team (=ageing) than our opponents for but for the second game running this is not so.
